Finance Manager – Transactional Services
Montague Farms stretches from Legana in Tasmania right up to Batlow in New South Wales, stopping on the way at Narre Warren North, Harcourt, Ardmona, Dilpurra and Mildura. It consists of
1,000 hectares of productive orchards
and significant packing operations. Montague Farms produces apples, pears, cherries, plums, peaches, apricots, grapes and citrus.
Role
Reporting to the
Financial Controller
, our Financial Transactions Manager oversees the end-to-end financial transactions cycle, ensuring integrity, timeliness and compliance across multiple business units. You'll lead three direct-report teams—Accounts Receivable, Grower Payments and Accounts Payable—while driving improvements across fixed assets, corporate credit cards, CER, reporting and budgeting.
This is a hands-on, people-focused leadership role suited to someone organised, proactive and deeply committed to accuracy, continuous improvement and values-driven behaviour.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage
the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Grower Payments teams
Ensure accuracy, reliability and timeliness of all financial transaction processes
Manage CER processes and fixed asset registers in line with Montague Farms CAPEX policy and accounting standards
Oversee corporate credit card management and asset reporting
Support the CFO with expense management, asset forecasts and strategic financial forecasting
Identify training needs and support development across the financial transactions team
Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Foster a customer-centric, values-led, compliant approach across all finance activities
Skills & Experience required to be successful in this role:
10+ years' AP/AR experience within FMCG or a similar dynamic environment
Advanced Excel capability and solid ERP experience (QuickBooks, MS Dynamics)
Strong analytical skills and accuracy in financial processing
High integrity and strong business acumen
Tertiary qualification in Accounting (or working toward)
CPA or CA qualification
Exposure to Ironbark ERP
