People with no experience are encouraged to apply for these vacancies; however, a career pathway or training program may be required to complete before being considered for the positions.
All training programs include first aid, CPR, training in Manual Handling and work placement. (Please note that these certificates and placement are not offered individually, only as part of a program).
To be considered for the role you must have or be willing to obtain the following:
* Certificate III in Individual Support - Disability
* First Aid and CPR certificates
* Explicit and current National Police Check

Responsibilities
As a Disability Support Worker your role will include but is certainly not limited to the following:
* supporting individual participation in social and recreational activities
* undertaking tasks outside the home such as shopping, visiting friends and family
* personal care
* light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
* manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists)
* providing companionship and emotional support
* transportation
Note: Training offered in conjunction with our RTO Partners: InterCare Training (RTO 21099). Suitability for this course will be determined via a Pre Training Review. Enrolment fees and government funding eligibility criteria applies.
