About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated Accounts Officer / Finance Assistant (opportunity for title to be flexible for the right candidate) to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a solid foundation in finance and gain hands-on experience across a variety of accounting functions.
In this role, you'll support the finance team with full-function accounts payable (%), month-end processes (%), rebate tracking (%), treasury support (%), and corporate card administration. You'll also play an important role in maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (%)
Process PO and Non-PO invoices, ensuring timely and accurate validation.
Manage the Australia Accounts Payable inbox and resolve Goods Receipt variances with the business.
Prepare weekly payment runs, including foreign currency payments.
Handle supplier queries and perform vendor statement reconciliations.
Coordinate supplier master data creation.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to accounts payable.
Month-End & Reconciliations (%)
Prepare journal entries and support balance sheet reconciliations.
Support GR / IR clearing and inter-company confirmations, including investigating variances.
Rebates (%)
Maintain and update datasets for monthly rebate expense calculations.
Support the creation of monthly accrual journals for rebates.
Prepare rebate ageing reports and related balance sheet reconciliations.
Treasury & Tax (%)
Assist with weekly cashflow forecasts.
Support preparation of GST (BAS), FBT, and Withholding Tax returns for Australia.
About you :
A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Knowledge of SAP (strongly preferred but other ERP's will be considered).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
