Senior Quality Advisor – Darwin (Relocation Support Available)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Quality Advisor to join a Darwin-based team supporting major Oil & Gas projects.
This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to work on large-scale industrial projects within a well-established organisation known for delivering high‐quality outcomes across the Oil & Gas, LNG, Mining and Power sectors.
Relocation support is available for exceptional candidates open to moving to Darwin.
About the Role
As the Senior Quality Advisor, you will be responsible for driving quality assurance and quality control processes across project delivery. You will work closely with construction and project teams to ensure compliance, continuous improvement and high‐quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and client‐specific requirements
* Review and approve ITPs, MDRs, and quality documentation
* Conduct internal audits and support external/client audits
* Manage non‐conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions
* Provide quality guidance across SMP and construction teams
* Monitor welding, NDT, coating and mechanical completion activities
* Ensure material traceability and certification compliance
* Mentor and support junior quality personnel
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality Management or similar (or equivalent experience)
* Extensive experience in a Quality role within Oil & Gas or heavy industrial environments
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and QA/QC systems
* Proven experience across SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) scopes
* Solid understanding of Australian Standards and client specifications
* Strong auditing, reporting, and documentation capabilities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem‐solving
