The Opportunity:
Responsible for transporting various types of freight between the ELX Largs North warehouse and multiple BHP mining sites. This role involves engaging with ELX staff onsite and supporting the loading and unloading of freight, while meeting ELX and BHP performance standards. Full‐time roster. One 6‐day week alternating with a 5‐day week, allowing you to have every 2nd weekend off. If you want a mixture of being on the highway but still having some work‐life balance, this is the position for you!
ELX linehaul drivers conduct pre‐start checks, report any faults to the workshop immediately, and ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements.
We provide:
* Full Time roster with varying runs to the three mine sites.
* Roster will be for one 6‐day week alternating with a 5‐day week, every 2nd weekend you will have off.
* Full uniform and required PPE provided.
* Well‐maintained trucks fitted with the latest technology and comforts such as microwaves, fridges, extra‐large mattresses.
You need:
* A MC license with at least 1 year experience with multi‐combination sets.
* Be clean shaven to meet client requirements.
* To successfully complete a pre‐employment medical examination.
* A strong knowledge of Load Restraint.
* An excellent driving record demonstrated through a driver history report.
* A commitment to safety and applying safe‐working practices.
Nice to have (or willing to get):
* Basic Fatigue Management certification.
* Dangerous Goods accreditation.
