We regularly tender for works in Brisbane region and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Civil Engineers with Contract Administrators experience CA01 (Old B01 Category) interested in joining us. Candidates should be capable of committing to assignments within the next month for an initial 1-2 years, with the possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.
Responsibilities:
The Contract Administrator (or acting Contract Administrator's Representative) will review, comment, and endorse engineering drawings (if required), specifications, reports, and annexures against project requirements, including statutory and legislative requirements, submissions to external agencies, and specific requests on behalf of TMR.
Key activities may include:
1. Assist Contract Administrators in assessing and verifying all stages of construction compliance, including with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011;
2. Monitor contractor's progress and compliance against the construction program;
3. Verify that parts of the works claimed for payment comply with the contract requirements;
4. Review and comment on contractor design submissions;
5. Coordinate and seek comments from TMR specialists and the wider project team;
6. Define verification, inspection, surveillance responsibilities;
7. Provide guidance on procedures and forms;
8. Integrate with the TMR Contract Administration System.
The Contract Administrator shall carry out procedures such as administration, surveillance, and liaison to ensure delivery of the Works within the parameters of time, cost, and quality.
Additional responsibilities include:
1. Preparation and submission of a Contract Administration Plan;
2. Preparation of project budgets;
3. Completion of monthly reports;
4. Assistance with public inquiries;
5. Providing performance data related to financial, programming, quality, safety, cultural heritage, and environmental aspects, and keeping the Contract Administrator informed of site events.
Mandatory Experience:
* Minimum 5 years' post-RPEQ or substantive postgraduate experience in the design, construction, maintenance, and contract administration of TMR projects related to road and transport infrastructure.
Mandatory Qualifications:
* A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification accepted by Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust);
* Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
Preference will be given to candidates living in Brisbane or willing to relocate. The proposed hours are nominally 40 per week, with potential for more hours due to project demands.
