Pure Foods Eggs (PFE) is a proud Tasmanian company that has been in operation for over 35 years, with a diversified portfolio of businesses spanning egg production and wholesale distribution. We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive leader to join our team as our Grading Floor and Quality Assurance Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to lead a team of grading floor staff to ensure the successful management of our Kings Meadows based egg grading floor and quality assurance operations.
The Grading Floor and Quality Assurance Manager works closely with all levels of management and is a key contributor to the successful delivery of positive operational outcomes.
This role is a full-time role.

* You enjoy looking for efficient ways of working without compromising quality or safety
Key tasks include:
* Meet organisational production targets and associated KPI's
* Lead a team of staff with a focus on optimising output through constructive communication, engagement & coaching.
* Undertake regular performance reviews with team members to support continuous improvement opportunities, team effectiveness & improved capability
* Initiate and lead team recruitment and the provision of training and development programs as required
* Ensure team compliance to workplace safety standards according to WHS guidelines, company policies, and auditing requirements
* Active participation in PFE's audit program
* Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Procurement and maintenance of tools and equipment required for the team to fulfil role functions
* Development and management of staff rosters
Desirable qualifications & experience
* Qualifications in food safety, auditing, quality management systems or similar would be advantageous
* While food production and/or quality assurance experience would be beneficial, applicants with limited experience in this industry who possess great leadership qualities are encouraged to apply. Full training is provided.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in leading teams with a focus on coaching and development
Work hours are generally 9.00am to 5.30pm Mon-Fri, however, these hours can vary to suit the needs of both the operation and the successful candidate.
