About Campus Chaplains
Campus Chaplains provide spiritual and emotional support to residents, family members, and staff.
They build welcoming communities and make a meaningful difference across campus services.
This pivotal role offers holistic care and support through pastoral guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Pastoral Care: Provide confidential emotional and spiritual support.
* Spiritual Development: Foster a Jesus-centered campus through services and programs.
* Community Engagement: Help staff create a welcoming environment for residents.
* Team Collaboration: Share pastoral insights as part of the multidisciplinary care team.
* Volunteer Support: Build and lead a strong volunteer team in partnership with local churches and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
* Educational Background: Certificate IV in Pastoral Care, Chaplaincy, Christian Ministry, or equivalent qualification.
* Experience: A minimum of three years' experience in providing pastoral care or chaplaincy services within a health or community environment.
* Eligibility for endorsement as a Ministering Person with Churches of Christ in Queensland.
* Demonstrated ability to model a missional lifestyle, communicate Christian beliefs effectively within the Australian context, and exhibit servant leadership qualities.
