About the Role

The Group Accounts Officer supports the LDK Group of Companies by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions across the business. This role is responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and end-of-month activities, contributing to the financial integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the organisation.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Group Accounts Officer plays a key role in maintaining effective financial processes, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations across the group.

You will be based at our Amberfield Village here in Canberra.

Role Responsibilities:

* Manage Accounts Payable supplier administration, including setting up new suppliers and maintaining accurate supplier records
* Review Accounts Payable invoices and prepare fortnightly AP payment runs
* Process inter-entity recharges in accordance with internal controls
* Manage receipting and settlement of Accounts Receivable
* Process employee reimbursements and liaise with managers to obtain approval for expense claims
* Prepare payment files for amounts owing to both internal and external suppliers
* Process monthly journal entries as required
* Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations, including Trade Creditors and Credit Cards
* Coordinate with auditors and external partners as required
* Monitor multiple shared email inboxes and action tasks in a timely manner
* Leverage systems and technology to streamline processes and minimize manual work
* Assist with projects and ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

* Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable
* Working knowledge of creditors and debtors processes
* Exposure to inter-entity transactions
* Experience preparing bank reconciliations
* Experience in a similar industry will be highly regarded
* Ability to deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely processing of daily and monthly tasks
* Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
* Proficiency in operating systems and Microsoft Word and Excel applications
