The Opportunity
The People Business Partner, Pacific, will be responsible for all HR matters, advice and guidance to the Australia and New Zealand business. The role holder will be expected to create, drive, and implement operational People plans for the Pacific business. They will be responsible for creating, driving, and supporting strategic People initiatives. They will partner with the APAC People and Business Leadership. They will be part of the GWS Pacific and Data Center (DCS) Leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide HR guidance on performance management, ER/IR matters, succession planning, and talent development.
* Support and coach managers on sensitive or complex employee matters.
* Lead onboarding, transitions, and workforce planning activities.
* Partner with Legal/Compliance on risk assessments and employee relations cases.
* Perform preliminary legal, regulatory, and management to assess risk of involuntary separations, working with ER Specialist, Compliance and Legal.
* Transitions (in and out) - oversee and ensure Transitions occur on time.
* Counsel management on workforce reductions in line with AU/NZ employment laws.
* Drive HR initiatives, including career ladders, succession planning, and training programs.
* Develop and improve HR processes, programs, and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
Our ideal candidate will have
* Beyond experience, the right personal style and attitude are critical to success in this role
* Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
* Demonstrated experience in blue and white collar workplaces, with a particular focus on award-based employees or operating in shift work environments.
* Strong knowledge and experience in dealing with employee matters, labour laws/regulations in Australia and New Zealand.
* Proven ability in stakeholder management
* Resilience, flexibility and agility is a must due to fast changing environment.
* Proven records of providing excellent internal customer service with demonstrated ability to create value and impact.
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
* Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
