The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Base Manager to lead The Boeing Company's C-17 Field Services and Training Systems team at RAAF Base Amberley. Working alongside our RAAF customer, and as part of global team, you will serve as the on-location Program Representative responsible for leadership and execution of the Globemaster III Sustainment and Training Systems Contracts.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and supervise a multi-disciplined team and serve as the on-location Program representative reporting to the Director C-17 International Field Services.
- Lead and integrate an international multi-disciplined team of C-17 specialists comprising Field Engineering & Technical Support, Supply Chain and Data Management.
- Manage and support C-17 Training System activities including Pilot, Loadmaster and Maintenance Instruction and Device Maintenance.
- Interface with senior military officers and their designees to ensure delivery of high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Develop and establish policies, organizational structures and report performance targets to Executive Management.
- This position requires proficiency working in a multi-disciplined environment, together with a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
- This position requires the ability to function in a demanding, on-call, around the clock operational environment and must be willing to travel occasionally.
Experience/Qualifications
- Experience dealing with senior military and company officials.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance practices and procedures is essential. Familiarity with Boeing and Commonwealth supply systems desirable.
- Business (Financial) acumen - Understands and utilizes economic, financial, and industrial data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses, identifying key issues, and developing strategies and plans.
