Employment opportunity for an Administration Assistant.
8 hours per week.
Based in Beaconsfield, WA.
Cana Communities supports people who are marginalised, including those who are homeless, those coming from jail, or suffering from mental ill health, addiction, or other factors which alienate them from mainstream society.
We are a not-for-profit community, largely volunteer-based, with no government funding.
We are established in NSW and have operated in WA for 9 years.
We run a transitional safe home for women in Palmyra and a social enterprise to upskill residents and support the Fremantle community.
Our activities also include a monthly community dinner, birthday celebrations and Art Therapy sessions at our Hub in Beaconsfield.
Position Description
Cana is seeking an Administration Assistant to support the WA Leader.
The role is based in Beaconsfield, WA.
There is some flexibility in office time; hours could be split (e.g., 2x4 hour shifts) or other suitable options.
The role is well supported by Cana's Sydney head office team.
Responsibilities
PA support for WA Leader
All administrative functions of the WA operations
Preparation and filing of correspondence, occupancy agreements, incident reports, etc.
Volunteer support and information
Assist with scheduling of volunteers for events & hospitality
Maintain & update contact database
Communications locally, interstate, website & social media updates
Prepare flyers & brochures
Process expenditure receipts and expense claims
Work with volunteer group, management team and liaise with Sydney office
Administrative support to Art Therapist and Wellbeing Advocate as required
Qualifications / Skills
Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential
Familiarity with Canva; Xero beneficial
Photographic and social media skills are beneficial
A willingness to participate in community activities and support our mission in a voluntary capacity is desirable
