Event Planning Specialist
About the Role
We seek an experienced and strategic Event Planning Specialist to join our national team. This is a full-time remote position open to Australian citizens.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our calendar of events from strategy to execution, anticipating challenges, managing multiple priorities, and driving outcomes with confidence and autonomy.
* Plan, coordinate, and deliver diverse national events across platforms and locations
* Develop event proposals and detailed costings within budget constraints
* Liaise with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to confirm logistics and ensure smooth delivery
* Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement of event processes
* Capture and distribute meeting notes and action items
* Manage timelines, deadlines, and communications across multiple events
* Support marketing and communications related to events in collaboration with the broader team
* Work collaboratively as part of a diverse and remote national team while reporting directly to the CEO
About You
You're not just an organizer; you're a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced autonomous environment. Bring at least 3 years' experience in event coordination and project management or marketing knowledge that enables you to deliver results at a high level.
Essential Criteria
Minimum Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of proven experience in event coordination
* Demonstrated understanding of project management and/or marketing principles
* Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities independently
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
* Must have your own phone and car, and be comfortable working remotely from home
* Confident in working autonomously with minimal supervision
* Comfortable reporting directly to a CEO and engaging with senior stakeholders
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience working in a not-for-profit or purpose-driven organization
* Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event formats
* Exposure to CRM or event/project management software
