**The role**:
You'll be responsible for supervising the shop floor and assisting the Store Management team in executing the stores daily operational tasks including but not limited to opening and closing the store when managers are unavailable. In this role, you will be trained to lead from the front, providing an exceptional and memorable experience for our customers through outstanding product knowledge, customer service and ability to offer solutions.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Reinforce the customer centric nature of City Beach by providing a superior customer experience for each person who walks through our store.
- Work closely with the store leadership team to deliver on performance objectives set for your store with respect to the retail KSIs (Sales, People, Audit & Compliance, Visual Merchandising, Wages)
- Maintain high standards of store presentation including keeping our shopfloor and stock room neat and tidy
- Contribute to all aspects of store operations including ensuring our stores are open and ready to be shopped by our customers, managing the movement of stock to reduce shrinkage and optimise sales, filing and tidying the shopfloor and getting the store set up for promotions and sales
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and be able to research and describe product features and benefits
- Run shifts as required including opening and closing the store premises, cash handling and maintaining store security
- Provide effective leadership on days where you are required to run a shift, ensuring that all store team members receive the required feedback, support, and training to enable them to meet operational and commercial objectives and provide and exceptional customer experience. Report back to the store leadership team as required.
**What we are looking for**:
- Previous retail leadership/management experience
- Outstanding customer service
- Willingness to learn how to lead and develop a team
- Strong communication skills to be able to effectively provide detailed hand overs to management team members
- An understanding of visual merchandising techniques
- Understanding of our brands and who we are and the ability to provide product knowledge to influence customer service techniques
