Due to continued growth, we're seeking a motivated Diesel Fitter to join our high-performing team. We will also consider strong candidates who are Cert III qualified Auto Electricians or Motor Mechanics and will provide a supported diesel-fitter upskilling pathway

About the Role
As part of our PowerGen maintenance team, you'll be working on diesel generator sets ranging from light commercial units to industrial power stations. You'll perform hands-on maintenance, overhauls, and diagnostics across engines, alternators, and associated systems.
If you're an Auto Electrician or Motor Mechanic, you'll receive structured training, coaching, and on-the-job experience to obtain the necessary qualifications to become a qualified Diesel fitter
Key Responsibilities
* Preventative and reactive maintenance on diesel generators
* Strong reporting skills and attention to detail
* Engine servicing, overhauls, and fault diagnostics
* Fuel, cooling, exhaust and lubrication system work
* Support with site installations, commissioning, and upgrades
* Travelling to client sites when required
* Completing all work safely and to a high standard

What You'll Bring
Essential (Any of the following)
* Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Trade qualification OR
* Cert III Motor Mechanic (light or heavy) OR
* Cert III Auto Electrician
Plus
* Strong mechanical or diagnostic ability
* Safety-first mindset and reliable work ethic
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to travel to sites when required
* Current driver's licence
* Valid passport

Highly Desirable (Training Provided for the Right Candidate)
* Experience with generator sets (Cummins, CAT, Perkins, MTU, etc.)
* Control/engine governor experience (Heinzmann, Deep Sea, Woodward)
* MR/HR licence
* Forklift, EWP or other high-risk tickets
