Job Description
We are seeking a senior operations leader to oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of multiple concrete plants. This is a key leadership role that requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing strategic operational plans and budgets for the district
* Providing timely and accurate reports to senior management, including variance analysis and action plans
* Delivering district-level/ plant operational budgets, ensuring cost efficiencies across production, maintenance, and distribution
* Directly managing and coaching area operations managers, ensuring clear accountability for plant performance and team development
* Overseeing and reporting on financial performance, identifying and implementing cost-reduction strategies
* Leading a diverse team to maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations across multiple plants while fostering a high-performance culture
* Delivering exceptional customer satisfaction by aligning operational performance with client expectations
* Driving innovation and operational improvements in a competitive and evolving market
* Driving continuous improvement in plant performance, cost control, and team capability
* Managing competing priorities and resources to achieve district and organisational goals
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (engineering, business management, or operations)
* Strong experience in related management roles in significant and complex organisations in the concrete or aggregates or closely related industries
* Proven leadership experience managing multi-site operations
* Hands-on experience in operational improvement, cost management, and SHE compliance
* Strategic and analytical thinking skills
* Experience in SAP, Excel, Word, MS Project
* Well-developed leadership and team building skills
* Strong team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
