They are seeking an enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join their small, highly experienced team on a 6-month fixed-term basis, with strong potential for extension or permanency. What’s on offer? 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension or permanency Competitive salary of $75k to $85k Super (commensurate with experience) Fortitude Valley location with easy access to trains and buses Modern, beautiful office environment with an excellent culture Hybrid flexibility with 1 day WFH (after initial training) Mentorship from a kind, approachable and people-first manager About the role: Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a knowledgeable team, your duties will include: Updating and maintaining employee records New starter onboarding and employee file maintenance Processing terminations, redundancies and leave Responding to employee queries in a timely manner Developing an understanding of award interpretation Handling inquiries and resolving payroll-related issues About you: This role is ideal for a candidate early in their payroll career or a recent graduate with some exposure to payroll or accounts.
