Established trawling fishing company working the Australian Fishing Zones seeks full‐time positions in the fishing industry. Positions include Ships Master, Ships Engineer, Master Fisher, Ships Officer, Deckhands & Fishing Hands, and Seafood Processors.

You will be based in the above region but may be required to work in other locations subject to operational requirements.
Ships Engineer (Fishing)
Successful candidates should ideally have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the fishing industry for ranked positions. Sea time of less than 5 years may be considered subject to your experience. Where you are required to hold a license or registration, you must hold the appropriate tickets; otherwise you will not be considered.
Fishing and Deckhands
Fishing and Deckhands should have no less than 1 year of Australian work experience and must be evidenced by sea time or log book. Verifiable letters of reference may also be acceptable. For all positions, you must provide verifiable references. You need to be strong as these positions involve working on a deck, often in heavy seas and sometimes in cramped spaces. Ranked positions may include managing fishing operations aboard your vessel in consultation with the company owners.
Salary & Benefits (General)
Annual salary for full‐time employees for the relevant occupation ranges as follows:
* Ship's Master: $120,000.00 or greater, subject to negotiation
* Ships Engineer (Fishing): $75,000 to $85,000
* Master Fisher: $75,000 to $88,000
* Deck and Fishing Hands: $71,500 to $82,500 or in excess
All the above occupations are subject to government‐regulated superannuation guarantee.
Seafood Processors
We also are seeking highly experienced seafood processing workers for full‐time and seasonal vacancies. For this position you should ideally have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a seafood processor with verifiable references.
Your duties may include some or all of the following typical tasks:
* Assist in unloading fresh seafood product from vessels
* Move various seafood products to chillers, freezers and live tanks
* Sort, dress and fillet fish with a proven ability to maintain a high recovery rate
* Sort, clean and retrieve meat from shellfish and crustaceans
* Load seafood products into trucks
* Pack boned and filleted seafood into cartons
* Inspect and grade fish and shellfish for size and quality
* Pack fish and count packs before freezing, and pack frozen fish blocks into cartons
* Operate machines which slice, peel, skin, crumb and package seafood product
* Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
* Ensure that all workplace safety regulations are complied with
Wages for Seafood Processors: $71,500 to $82,500 per year plus superannuation guarantee for highly experienced industry workers.
In all cases, remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience.
