Library Officer – Part Time – Dampier and Karratha
Salary Package: $10,983 per annum pro rata plus super (Inclusive of Library loading). 60 hours per fortnight

We are seeking a dedicated Library Staff member to join our team on a 60 hours per fortnight basis, with shifts across Karratha and Dampier Libraries. The role may also require occasional work at other branches, including Roebourne and Wickham, as needed to support operational needs. Key shift requirements include:
- One Saturday shift per fortnight at Karratha
- One evening shift per week (ending at 6:00 or 7:00 pm) at Karratha
- Potential Sunday shifts in the future as part of an extended hours trial (starting next year)

What you’ll be doing:
The Library Officer is responsible for providing quality customer service to the community and users across the City of Karratha libraries, through the maintenance and development of library and information services and community programs. Good interpersonal skills and effective teamwork are required for this position. All employees are expected to work in accordance with the City of Karratha’s values.
The role will also assist in the management of the collection, delivery of Rhyme-time and Story-time programs and the development of programs and activities that cater to our patrons with additional needs and our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) communities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Completion of year 12 or equivalent
- Tertiary qualifications in, or progress towards Library Services qualification or a related field (desirable)
- Working with Children Check or be eligible to obtain one
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old), or willing to obtain one
