• Salary: $78,****** to $83,****** per annum Townsville Golf Club Incorporated is seeking a Golf Services Manager who will also serve as the Director of Coaching.
This dual role blends high-performance coaching with leadership of golf shop operations, bookings, customer service, retail, and club programs.
The ideal candidate will have proven coaching skills across all ages and playing levels and experience managing golf or sports facilities.
You will design and deliver coaching programs, manage golf bookings, assist the retail pro shop team, coordinate events, and ensure service excellence across all touchpoints.
This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone passionate about both sports coaching and retail-operations management.

Design and manage golf coaching programs tailored to different experience levels, including school programs and seasonal sessions.
Supervise the daily golf operations of the facility, ensuring efficient booking systems, tee time management, and customer service standards.
Operate, maintain, and support usage of indoor golf simulator technology for coaching and recreational purposes.
Manage customer relationships, providing guidance, advice, and support to ensure a high-quality experience for members and guests.
Coordinate golf shop activities, including merchandising, sales, and inventory management of golf equipment and apparel.
Monitor financial performance, generate reports, and support budget planning for golf-related activities and services.
Assist with promotional initiatives, including tournaments, member events, school engagements, and public golf outreach programs.
Assist with workplace health and safety practices within the golf facility and ensure compliance with relevant operational standards.
Manage junior development programs in alignment with Golf Australia guidelines, including Golf Australia MyGolf initiatives.
Supervise and mentor Golf assistants, PGA MPP Associates and casual staff involved in golf coaching and retail operations.
Develop marketing and communication strategies in collaboration with the Director of Golf to increase participation and revenue.
Qualification & experience Full Program Professional Golf Coach PGA Diploma in Golf Management or equivalent qualification Certificate III in Sports (preferred) Demonstrated coaching experience across age groups Retail experience preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends About Company Townsville Golf Club Incorporated (ABN ) is the oldest golf club in Queensland and one of the most prestigious clubs in Northern Australia.
