FTI Consulting's Core Operations functions provide support to our client service professionals so they are able meet and exceed the needs of our clients. Professionals within our Marketing and Communications, Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Office Infrastructure, Legal, and Real Estate teams are dedicated to working together and delivering world class support across our global community.

Job Responsibilities

* The majority of our Finance team operates out of our Brisbane office, but we are open to candidates in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
* Assist the Accounting Team with financial accounting, reporting and compliance functions.
* Work closely with the Accountant and Senior Accountants to support month‐end close, ensuring financial statements are accurately stated and deadlines are met.
* Process month‐end journal entries and prepare month‐end balance sheet reconciliations.
* Record intercompany accounting transactions and the related reconciliations across entities.
* Assist with the monthly variance analysis on both state and national basis.
* Assist with the preparation of Business Activity Statements.
* Assist with analysing data for Fringe Benefit Tax returns.
* Collate data for external and internal audits including SOX audits.
* Assist with various reporting including utilisation reporting, trend analysis and other ad‐hoc reporting.
* Perform other ad‐hoc responsibilities as required.

Key Requirements

* Degree qualified accountant with 1+ year of accounting experience.
* Professional services industry experience preferred.
* Working knowledge of ERP system preferred.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Commitment, self‐motivation and deadline driven.
* Keen to work in a fast‐paced environment and multinational organisation.
* Ability to interact and engage with key stakeholders.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
