What’s the role? An exciting opportunity is available for a Principal Engineer to join the Quality Engineering Platform – Test Capability team. This role is responsible for designing and evolving our enterprise-grade test automation frameworks and enabling their seamless integration into the Quality Engineering Platform (QEP). The role supports our UNITE transformation by embedding scalable, observable, and maintainable test automation into CI/CD pipelines, environments, and platform services. It plays a critical role in uplifting automation maturity across delivery teams while ensuring platform-driven consistency and reuse. What do I need? Extensive experience designing and building modern test automation frameworks from the ground up. Hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript) or similar frameworks (e.g. Cypress, WebdriverIO). Strong skills in test automation for web, API, and service layers. Deep understanding of Frameworks & Tools, CI/CD & Observability (e.g. structured logging, videos, traces) and Communication integrating automation into pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Proficient in source control and collaboration tools (e.g. GitHub, Bitbucket). Experience working in large-scale, Agile environments. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Why join us?
