Harbour Early Learning Red Hill is a beautiful purpose-built, recently opened centre. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm 52 weeks a year, except for Public Holidays.
We are seeking individuals who want to change the world and engage in collaborative partnerships with children, families, and the community. We are looking for experienced early childhood professionals who are energetic, fun, and committed to changing the trajectory of children engaged in our inquiry-based program.
We aim to provide a stable and enriching learning environment, ensuring every child enters school as a confident and successful learner. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of the children in your care.
Supported by coaching, mentoring, and professional development from experienced Directors, you’ll have the tools and resources to make a real difference.
The positions are full-time 38 hrs, 5 days (Monday to Friday). You will have the privilege of working with like-minded collaborators who are setting the new benchmark for early learning.
Qualifications & Experience
§ Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
§ Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training
§ Current Child Protection Training and Child Safety Training
§ Current Working with Vulnerable People Card
§ Current Food Handlers certificate (or willingness to obtain)
§ Clear National Police Check
§ Australian citizens or permanent residents are encouraged to apply
§ Minimum 2 years of previous experience working with children aged Birth to 5 years
§ Genuine willingness to work with any age group
§ Sound computer literacy skills related to documentation and program planning
§ Demonstrated understanding of current education and care legislation, regulations and guidelines
§ High-level interpersonal skills, demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
§ Effective implementation of theory and research-based pedagogy
Tasks & Responsibilities
§ Create a child safe environment that acknowledges and encourages each and every child’s agency and participation.
§ Facilitate and document learning opportunities founded on children's interests.
§ Work collaboratively with a team of ECT, Diploma, and Certificate III qualified professionals.
§ Develop and maintain positive and welcoming relationships with families.
§ Strong leadership skills
§ Follow the centre’s philosophy, policies and procedures.
