About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic, engaging and committed Disability Support Workers to join our team. Initial employment will be casual, with opportunities to transition to permanent part time.
This position is primarily within our Day Programs, providing weekday supports in small and large group settings. The role may also include occasional shorter connecting transport shifts, ensuring participants can safely access programs and community activities.
Our Disability Support Workers play a critical role in delivering high-quality, fun, safe and meaningful supports that enhance participants’ quality of life, independence, opportunities, choice and control.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide person-centred, individually tailored supports that promote dignity, independence and skill development
Assist participants to actively achieve their Biggest Life Possible through social connection, learning, recreation and meaningful engagement
Provide support with personal care, mealtime assistance, health support needs and community access
Support participants to develop social and recreational networks as valued members of the community
Implement individual behaviour support and communication strategies, contributing to review and evaluation
Support the development and achievement of participant goals, including working alongside therapists and specialist services
Maintain accurate documentation, recording and communication in line with organisational and NDIS requirements

Essential Requirements:
Passion for person-centred disability support
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Employee Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current Driver’s Licence
Capacity to meet the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling
Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
Desirable:
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, Aged Care (or equivalent qualification)
OR a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
