Senior Clinical Psychologist Opportunity
Job Description
The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist clinical psychology assessment, diagnosis and consultancy for children with complex developmental differences within the Child Development Unit and outreach services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, expertise in child development processes and theory, and experience working as a Clinical Psychologist within the paediatric field.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist clinical psychology assessment, diagnosis and consultancy for children with complex developmental differences
* Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to support clients and their families
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies to ensure integrated, evidence-based client care and ongoing management recommendations
* Advise management on service development, practice improvements and redesign in response to clinical demands and client needs
Requirements
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Ability to undertake specialist assessment of children with complex developmental problems and understand highly complex clinical presentations by applying knowledge of child development processes, theory and practice
* Demonstrated broad experience working as a Clinical Psychologist within the paediatric field with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience
* Proven experience in delivering high-quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
