About the Roles
We have two exciting opportunities for permanent full time Diesel & Plant Mechanics based in our new, state of the art workshops located at our Warnervale site and our Tea Gardens site. The roles are responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of American prime mover & semi applications including truck & dogs, Semi tippers & Walking Floors. In addition to smaller Japanese tippers.
For Plant Mechanic applicants the role consists of servicing and maintaining our large off-road fleet of Volvo Front end loaders & Excavators, trommel, Reclaimer & Star Screens and Slow Speed Shredders.
The successful applicants will hold the following attributes:
* Cert 3 in Heavy Vehicle/Plant qualifications
* Extensive knowledge & experience in engine, brakes and driveline, Servicing, maintenance & repairs
* Experience working on Kenworth, Western Star & other American Trucks; Cummins, Detroit, Mack, Volvo & Mitsubishi Engines
* The ability to ensure compliance to NHVAS requirements while meeting WHS regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a solid drive to lead by example.
* Ability to handle busy situations of in-coming work and adapt to the demands of an ever-changing confliction of priorities.
* Ability to work autonomously when required
* Drivers License and own car as a minimum. HR & HC license desirable but not a necessity.
* Auto Electrical, Air Con Certs & welding experience is favourable
* For Plant Mechanic Applicants experience working on Front End Loaders, Excavators, Shredders, Screens & Crushers.
