Remuneration : $36.45 - $37.29 per hour + Annual Leave Loading + 11.5% Superannuation

Sydney Local Health District is responsible for the health and wellbeing of more than 740,000 people living within our boundaries, as well as many more from rural and remote parts of NSW and Australia. About The Role

You will be working at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. The hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.

This position is responsible for providing billing and administrative support to outpatient departments under the governance of the Ambulatory Care Business Unit (ACBU). This includes timely completion and monitoring of outpatient billings, within established protocols, performing audits, general administrative duties, record, and report on processed Medicare billings, invoices, rejections, and resubmissions. The billing officer ensures efficiency and effective outcomes in relation to the revenue and day to day departmental activities within outpatient services.

Ideal Candidate

* Proven ability to provide a high-level of customer service to both internal and external customers and work a variety of shifts based on the operational requirements of the Ambulatory Care Business Unit.
* Excellent written and interpersonal skills to engage and communicate confidently and courteously with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated experience and high-level knowledge of patient billing policy and procedures in the health environment including Medicare billing, Workers Compensation, insurance agencies, Motor Accident Act offices and health care funds.
