Hedweld Engineering is a proud family owned and world renowned regional Australian innovator and manufacturer. Hedweld has been producing world leading products for the mining sector globally for over 40 years, known for our Trilift range of component handling equipment and our Safe-Away range of access systems.

Reporting into the Global Operations Manager, this role will form part of the senior management team. Based from our Mount Thorley site and responsible for the full span of Supply Chain operations, including strategic sourcing and procurement, inventory planning and purchasing, warehousing and logistics, through leading and managing the Group Supply Chain Operations team to deliver operational functionality and supply continuity for the business.

We are seeking someone with the passion and ability to analyse strategic and operational data to make decisions, is future focused with key relationships and influential in their communication and leadership style.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Develop strategic plans to optimise cost and efficiency of end-to-end supply chain.
- Undertake sourcing exercises to identify, review, and select appropriate vendors for tenders and continual improvement.
- Lead improvement programs, including reducing waste, improving service levels, and identifying ways to improve financial performance.
- Coordinate with local and international stakeholders to support inventory needs and aid global development of efficient inventory model.
- Provide leadership around Supply Chain Team thinking around new and innovative ways to deliver product and service outcomes which provide competitive advantage
- Identify and understand the supplier risk landscape within Hedweld Group and ensure all supplier risks are identified, measured, and monitored.
- Minimum 3 years' experience gained in a similar position.
- In depth knowledge of manufacturing
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Management.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Demonstrated people management skills.
- Demonstrated financial management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in ERP.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the appropriate regulatory environment.
- Current Driver's license.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
