About the Role
The role involves the provision and management of high‐quality Clinical Pharmacy services in accordance with the position description, with the flexibility to work across all areas of the pharmacy department. The position is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient‐centred pharmaceutical services within the boundaries of relevant legislation, professional standards, and organisational policies. Through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, the role supports patients of the MNCLHD to achieve optimal medication management and best possible health outcomes. This is a Temporary Full‐Time position based in Coffs Harbour.
About you
You are a dedicated and experienced hospital pharmacist with current unrestricted registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and a minimum of three years' post‐registration experience in hospital pharmacy. You meet the requirements for classification as a Pharmacist Grade 2 under the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award 2017 and can demonstrate competency across the required criteria. You possess strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards, and you have well‐developed skills in the provision of clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting. Your sound understanding of therapeutics and medication management, including the medication reconciliation process, supports safe and effective patient care.
You demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, alongside strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new electronic systems. You work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly and professionally with patients and colleagues. You are committed to ongoing professional development, education, and active participation in quality improvement activities to continually enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
