This is a senior leadership role, not a stepping-stone sales job.
You will:
* Own and drive sales revenue
* Lead and develop the sales function
* Act as the day-to-day operational leader of the business
* Be the decision-maker when the Managing Director is unavailable
This role is ideal for someone with strong sales leadership experience who wants genuine responsibility, authority, and influence over how a business operates.
Key Responsibilities
* Full ownership of sales performance across boats, outboards, and PWC
* Manage, coach, and develop the existing sales team
* Personally handle major deals, negotiations, and key customer relationships
* Ensure strong follow-up, pipeline management, and conversionImplement and maintain structured sales processes and reporting
General Management / 2IC
* Act as the primary point of leadership for staff day-to-day
* Oversee smooth coordination between sales, parts, service, and admin
* Be the first escalation point for operational or customer issues
* Ensure accountability — work progresses without constant direction
* Run the business confidently in the Managing Director’s absence
Leadership & Communication
* Lead by example with professionalism and urgency
* Maintain strong internal communication and expectations
* Work closely with the Managing Director on strategy, growth, and improvements
About You
* Proven experience in sales leadership (marine, automotive, machinery, or other high-value products preferred)
* Comfortable being accountable for revenue and results
* Confident decision-maker who can work autonomously
* Strong people skills — respected by sales, trades, and admin staff
* Calm under pressure, commercially minded, and organised
* Marine industry knowledge is an advantage, but not essential for the right leader
