As a Frontend Web Developer you will be responsible for developing web applications to support a world-class OTT experience on a fixed-term basis. By owning all aspects of the development cycle, from participating in the design through to deployment, this position ensures that the Stan platform is developed and maintained using best practice engineering principles.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Build new and maintain existing web experiences utilising agile practices and modern development techniques including iterative development and continuous integration
* Research and spike new techniques & technologies that may be beneficial
* Use your creativity to seek improvements to current systems, work practices and processes and contribute to internal development standards & practices
* Continuously make improvements to applications in production based on user feedback and monitoring
* Coach and provide technical mentoring to other developers within the team
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of software development experience
* Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript skills with Svelte or equivalent framework
* Experience working in cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers
* Experience building responsive, mobile-friendly, and accessible web experiences across various devices and platforms
* Experience delivering high-performant web applications at scale
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Strong verbal and written communication
* Knowledge and understanding of service-oriented architecture and distributed systems
* Sound knowledge of defensive coding practices to address common security vulnerabilities
