The Role
This is not a standard reception role .
At Merse Wellness Spa, our team are Wellness Educators — guiding clients through the ultimate spa and recovery experience. You are the first face our guests see, the calm presence that sets the tone, and the connection between our clients and their best selves.
This is a dynamic, fast‑paced role where no two days look the same. You'll move seamlessly between welcoming clients, educating them on wellness and recovery, maintaining a pristine spa environment, and supporting smooth daily operations.
You'll also be confident on the phone, managing inbound enquiries and outbound follow‑ups, supporting bookings, nurturing leads, and enhancing the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain an immaculate, safe, dry and serene spa environment, including saunas, pools and recovery areas
* Manage towels, linen rotation, stock levels and overall presentation to the highest standard
* Welcome guests, conduct spa tours, and confidently explain services and experiences
* Educate clients on recovery options, memberships and packages aligned to their goals
* Upsell memberships and services to walk‑ins and existing members, including outbound lead follow‑up
* Earn uncapped commission through ethical, client‑first sales conversations
* Manage bookings, payments, memberships and client profiles using booking and CRM systems
* Support opening and closing procedures and assist the Spa Manager with smooth daily operations

What You'll Need to Succeed
* Experience in a spa, wellness centre, health club or customer‑facing role (preferred)
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
* Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems
* A strong work ethic and can‑do attitude
* Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Availability across a 7‑day rotating roster (weekends are non‑negotiable)
