About the Role
The Process Engineer will support development of the process plant scope for this study. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing process flow diagrams, mass balances, and study-level design criteria
* Supporting comminution and beneficiation circuits including crushing, large milling and grinding
* Contributing to gold/copper extraction methods including flotation, heap leach, solvent extraction (SX), and electrowinning (EW)
* Supporting test work programs and integrating laboratory/pilot data into process design
* Preparing preliminary equipment lists, datasheets, and specifications for Class 3 estimating
* Providing input into risk reviews, environmental/regulatory compliance, and water management considerations
* Working closely with mechanical, civil, structural, and electrical teams to ensure alignment of process deliverables
About You
We are seeking a process engineer with:
* Experience in gold and copper extraction methods, including comminution (large milling/grinding circuits), flotation, heap leach, solvent extraction (SX) and electrowinning (EW)
* Prior exposure to study-phase work (PFS/DFS) within EPC/EPCM environments
* Ability to prepare defensible process documentation to support estimating and scheduling
* Non-ferrous mineral processing experience desirable
* Awareness of environmental and regulatory considerations for leach reagents, effluents, and tailings
* Strong collaboration skills within multi-discipline study teams
Roster & Conditions
* Monday to Friday, based in Perth or Brisbane
* Hybrid work options – up to 2 days WFH per week
* Hours: 40 per week plus approved overtime
* Initial 12-month contract, aligned with DFS delivery
* Competitive rates – to be finalised in consultation with project and market benchmarks
