We are currently a passionate and customer-focused qualified
Chef to join our Hospitality team and support a number of sites in
our Residential metro areas including Gwelup, Kingsley, Innaloo and
Joondanna.
In this role you will supervise the kitchen and catering areas,
ensuring meals created for our residents are nutritious, varied,
cost effective and presented in a professional manner.
This is a casual opportunity working as and when required noting
shifts are 7.5 hours duration.
About the role: Manage the preparation and cooking of meals on site Produce well-presented nutritious meals using fresh ingredients where possible Assist in the menu development where practicable Adhere to the approved cycle menu on site Manage portion control and wastage on site Ensure all dietary requirements for residents are met Direct and train staff on appropriate food presentation and preparation techniques Comply with Food safety programme and procedures as outlined in the Hospitality manual Comply with any relevant legislation covering food safety About you: Previous experience as a Cook catering for 50+ people Minimum requirement of a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen staff to get food out on time Experience in ordering food stuffs, and awareness of waste management Excellent time management skills Excellent working knowledge of the Food Act and Food Standards code A NDIS Worker's Screening Check or willingness to get one Working with Bethanie
