Your new role
As a Provider Engagement Officer (APS5 or APS6), you will lead and support engagement and education initiatives with service providers to ensure high-quality outcomes for participants. Your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address provider challenges and improve service delivery.
* Drafting and contributing to content for public and internal use, including FAQs, website updates, and reports.
* Supporting the development of sector resources and insights to inform policy and operational improvements.
* Managing risks in stakeholder relationships and promoting proactive engagement strategies.
* Contributing to ministerial and parliamentary correspondence, briefs, and project evaluations.
* (APS6 only) Leading more complex projects and potentially mentoring junior staff.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to both sector and government audiences.
* The ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve conflicts constructively.
* Sound judgment, governance awareness, and decision-making capabilities.
* (APS6) Experience in project management and team leadership.
* Knowledge of NDIS systems and provider environments is highly desirable.
