About your Opportunity:
We're looking for a strategic P&C business partner with experience across organisational development who thrives on building relationships, driving performance, and making a tangible impact on business outcomes.
This isn't your typical HR generalist role – this is a seat at the table where you'll work in partnership with senior leaders to enable the RACT people strategy. You'll be the trusted advisor leaders turn to when they need expert guidance on everything from navigating complex employee relations matters to designing capability frameworks that unlock team potential.
As a Senior People & Culture Partner, you'll own the full people lifecycle for your business units – from strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition through to performance, development, and employee relations. You'll be equally comfortable coaching a leader through a difficult conversation as you are designing change strategies that bring teams on the journey. This is a role where you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and where your insights will directly shape how we grow, develop and engage our people.
Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing:
Partner strategically with leaders
* Work in true partnership with senior leaders to translate the RACT people strategy into business performance outcomes.
* Build and maintain strong relationships, becoming the trusted advisor on all people and culture matters.
* Provide analysis, insights and expert advice that helps leaders make informed decisions about their people.
Navigate complex people matters
* Provide expert guidance on employee relations, industrial relations, grievances, and change management.
* Lead or support workplace investigations, disputes and disciplinary matters with confidence and sensitivity.
* Advise on policy, practice, and compliance with employment legislation and industrial instruments.
Deliver end-to-end people solutions
* Provide comprehensive support across the people lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, capability development, compensation and benefits and exits.
* Develop and implement practical tools and frameworks that lift capability across all P&C touchpoints.
* Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design and talent strategies.
Drive continuous improvement
* Identify opportunities to optimise P&C processes, systems and reporting.
* Assist with the design and implementation of change initiatives across the business.
* Bring fresh thinking and contemporary HR practices that keep RACT ahead of the curve.
Collaborate and contribute
* Work collaboratively with P&C colleagues and leaders to achieve team and broader business strategic goals.
* Share your expertise and support the wider team's development.
* Uphold and model RACT's values in everything you do.
Who we're looking for and what you'll bring:
We're seeking a proactive and strategic HR professional with proven organisational development consultant experience in designing and implementing change initiatives and building capability. You'll bring demonstrated expertise in employment law and industrial instruments, with strong generalist capability across employee relations, industrial relations, workers compensation, recruitment and coaching. Your track record of advising and resolving escalated people issues, combined with the ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders, will be essential. Most importantly, you'll be a professional, strategic advisor who translates complex HR matters into practical solutions that lift manager capability and guide employees through change.
At RACT, we're not just a workplace – we're a community. When you join our team, you become part of something bigger. Your ideas and the work you do will help shape our community and environment.
Here's why you'll love being part of our team:
* Staff discounts: Enjoy significant discounts on RACT home and car insurance, and free Ultimate Roadside Assistance.
* Wellbeing leave: Three days of Wellbeing Leave available per year that can be used however you wish.
* Superannuation contribution matching: For every dollar you contribute to your superannuation, we'll match it up to 2%.
* Career growth: We invest in your development because your success is our success.
* Flexible work: Life isn't one-size-fits-all, and neither is our work. Balance your life commitments with our flexible work environment.
