Position description
Our client is looking for an ambitious Payroll Officer to join a dynamic team on the North Shore. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the purpose of the role is to support the payroll team by process and pay facilities and corporate staff, support and ensure adherence to all relevant awards, agreements and status related to payment of employees.
The responsibilities
Process fortnightly time sheets, including administration of fortnightly reports and reconciliation.
Process staff movements including new starters, departures and other movements
Process bonuses and salary sacrifice requests, and checking to ensure payments have been made accurately
Preparing manual payments when required
Assisting Finance team on queries and reports
The successful applicant:
Prior experience in a high-volume payroll workplace
Thoroughly understands the end to end payroll process
Knowledge of Chris21/Ichris or Oracle payroll system
Experience preparing payroll reports and reconciliations
Experience with a wide range of EBAs and Awards, strong knowledge in this area
Intermediate excel skills (V-lookups, Pivot tables)
Excellent communication and customer service skills, able to promote Payroll best practice
