You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and value-driven services that support the maintenance and improvement of our community's roads and infrastructure.
This hands-on role involves a variety of civil construction and maintenance activities, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Your work will directly enhance the appearance and structural integrity of Council's streetscapes and assets.
Key Responsibilities Road maintenance and reinstatement Concreting and bluestone paving Signage and street furniture maintenance Operation of plant and equipment Preferred Skills and Experience We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in: Excavator and skid steer operations, including use of profiler attachments Civil construction, especially asphalt placement and concreting Laying and restoring bluestone paving Holding a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence (preferred) Traffic management: controlling traffic with stop/slow bat and implementing traffic management plans What We're Looking For A reliable and proactive team player Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work Willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team Ability to work flexibly across a range of civil construction tasks Yarra City Council is a dynamic and progressive organisation that values diversity and invests in the ongoing development of its staff.
