About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Category Manager will collaborate with the Customer & Marketing Teams to 'be the voice of the shopper' within Lactalis and provide simple, compelling and actionable insights about shopper behaviour and needs to enable a 3-way-win (shopper, customer & Lactalis).
Responsibilities
* Define clear and compelling retail strategies that support sustainable category growth for our retail partners and Lactalis.
* Develop robust shopper and consumer insights from various data sources transforming these into actionable insights that support Lactalis brands and drive category growth.
* Working with Marketing and Sales in the development of external presentations in line with expectations of a "category captain" that support Customer Range Reviews, Workshops and major product launches.
* Develop and review online and in store promotional initiatives and guidelines.
* Develop, in conjunction with Marketing and Sales, a category approach to all product development with an emphasis on sales launch strategy and price positioning.
* Set Business Priorities each cycle, (based on key marketing activities) for activation by field sales.
Qualifications
* Ability to analyse and draw insights from large and complex data sets.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Effective presentation skills.
* Collaborative approach and ability to think outside the norm.
* Knowledge of Circana and shopper analytic tools such as Quantium and Synergy.
* Excel Intermediate.
