On 1 January **** five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health.
A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.

The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities.
Subject to final approval on 1 January ****, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
About the Role

Bass Coast Health is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated graduate podiatrist eager to learn, grow, and make a difference across a variety of community and hospital-based settings.
With four clinic locations across the beautiful Bass Coast region — including a hospital-based service — this position offers an excellent foundation to build your clinical skills, particularly in wound care, through our High-Risk Foot Clinic.
This position is primarily based at Wonthaggi Hospital, with additional clinics at Cowes and Corinella, and visits to two local aged care facilities.
The role is mainly outpatient-focused, with opportunities to gain experience in inpatient care and occasional home visits.
You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering quality podiatric care to a range of clients — including older adults and people with chronic health conditions.

Diabetic foot assessments
Nail surgery
Biomechanical assessments
You'll also have the chance to take part in health education and community programs, such as diabetes and chronic condition support groups.

Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor of Podiatry
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Current Victorian Drivers Licence
Member or eligibility for membership of the Victorian Podiatry Association
A valid Police Check
Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with the Secretary Department of Health Directions
Desirable
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Podiatrist with demonstrated clinical skills, knowledge and reasoning in assessment and intervention in a hospital and / or community setting
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a member of an effective multidisciplinary team
Highly developed organisational, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to relate positively to people from diverse backgrounds
Proven ability to meet reporting requirements to a high standard within set timeframes
Demonstrated ability to be actively involved in CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) and provide initiative in service development and evaluation
Experience in networking, coordinating, and liaising with a wide range of service providers and other relevant bodies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated participation in Professional development
