Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated administrator to join the Theatres administration team to co-ordinate and administer E-roster for Main Theatres and Day Surgery Unit.
The successful applicant will have a good all-round education including GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy office environment with excellent MS Excel skills.
You will be able to organise and prioritise your own workload, ensuring deadlines are met.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating the clinical shifts on E-roster to cover both Main Theatres and Day Surgery Unit, allowing for annual leave, sickness absence, special leave, etc., and co-ordinating the allocations for both Main Theatres and Day Surgery Unit, ensuring theatres are always covered considering skill mix.
You will establish and maintain good working relationships with all clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels within the Trust.
The post holder will be required to work Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job

You will co-ordinate the allocations for both Main Theatres and Day Surgery Unit, ensuring theatres are always covered taking into account skill mix.
To support the Workforce Co-ordinator in co-ordinating and administering the Management of Attendance Policy which will include absence correspondence, co-ordination of sickness meetings, maintenance of accurate data and regular production of reports for Main Theatres, Day Surgery Unit and Pre-Operative Assessment Unit, whilst maintaining staff confidentiality.
You will establish and maintain good working relationships with all clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels within the Trust.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications, Training, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: RSA 3 word processing or typing experience; Evidence of advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics; Proven experience of working in an office environment for at least 2 years; Proven time-management skills with ability to organise and prioritise own workload; Proven ability to work on own initiative; Proven written & oral communication skills for liaison with colleagues, medical staff and members of public; Proven skill in the creation and production of complex documentation and data; Experience in using Eroster; Working knowledge of the NHS, including policies and procedures; Disclosure and Barring Service Check; This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order).

£24,937 to £26,598 a year per annum pro rata if part time
