We are located at the Paris end of Collins street, Philippe is a casual, warm restaurant that serves traditional French fair with some modern touches.
To be successful in this application, it is essential you have/are
1. Ensuring the highest attention to detail is taken at all stages of the cooking process
2. Prepare and cook food in a timely manner
3. Strong communication skills, receptive to feedback
4. Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation
5. at least two year's experience in a similar role
6. Fully qualified as a chef
As a chef de Partie, you would be responsible for,
1. Preparing, cooking and serving food in accordance with menus ensuring high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards.
2. Keep abreast of current food trend and techniques
3. Planning menus, estimation food and labour costs and ordering food supplies
4. Oversee the appropriate receiving and storage of food ingredients
5. Foster a sound relationship with kitchen and front of house staff
6. Select and provide training to kitchen staff
7. Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition
8. Maintain HACCP procedures and practices
