Job Description
The Policy Officer, Strategic Policy & Evidence role plays a crucial part in an internal consultancy team. The primary responsibility is to provide high-quality research and analysis, offer strategic advice, and contribute to the delivery of strategic projects across the Department of Health.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide policy development support and capability building through work on specific policy projects working in a matrix model to deliver internal consulting support.
* Offer specialist skills and knowledge in health systems, analytics, government processes, legislation, stakeholder consultation, policy design, or program implementation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be a high-performing team member with analytical, strategic planning, project management, and communication skills. A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health, health economics/economics, social policy, or health administration would be desirable.
Desirable Skills
* Experience using Victorian government administrative data is beneficial.
* Consulting experience would be advantageous.
