The Therapeutic Youth Worker role plays a vital part in providing support to young people in out-of-home care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Active support: meal preparation, dressing, transportation, social outings, and planning daily goals.
* Health support: administering medication and documenting health plans.
* Positive behaviour support: managing behaviours, triggers, and escalations.
* Safeguarding: ensuring the safety of the young person and documenting incidents.
To succeed in this role, applicants must demonstrate a strong motivation to work with young people and be available to work rotating rosters including weekends and overnights.
A current paid working with children check, National police check, Valid driver's license, First aid certificate, and Qualification (hold or be working towards a relevant diploma or degree) are essential requirements.
