A technology-focused organisation is seeking a Production Assembly Technician to support the assembly and quality assurance of advanced robotic modules. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, centred on building, testing, and documenting electromechanical systems in a structured production environment.
Working closely with engineers and fellow technicians, the successful candidate will help ensure products are assembled accurately, tested thoroughly, and documented correctly as production volumes scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of modular systems in line with detailed work instructions.
* Carry out precision tasks including soldering, wiring harness assembly, crimping, and component potting.
* Execute defined inspection and test procedures, recording results accurately.
* Maintain complete and traceable build records using digital production and quality systems.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to improve assembly processes and product reliability.
* Follow quality, safety, and documentation standards consistently.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly within a production or engineering environment.
* Strong practical skills in soldering, wiring, and working with electronic components.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
* High attention to detail with a strong quality-focused mindset.
* Comfortable using digital systems for work tracking and documentation.
Desirable
* Experience using MRP or MES systems for work orders and inventory tracking.
* Familiarity with automation systems, sensors, or embedded hardware.
* Experience assembling products requiring high reliability and consistency.
