Gerringong Pet Accommodation Is an established Premium Pet boarding ,daycare and grooming hotel for dogs and cats. dogs.
We are looking for a qualified, capable all-rounder to join our team in a casual then permanent part-time role.
This position suits someone who enjoys routine, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable balancing animal care, cleaning standards, client communication, and stepping into responsibility when required.
This is a hands-on role in a small, well-run boarding facility. In time you will be working without the owner present, and you will be expected to confidently lead the shift, maintain standards, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
Duties include:
Animal Care
* Confident handling and care of dogs and cats
* Feeding, monitoring wellbeing and behaviour and health
* Supporting calm routines and group environments
* Providing enrichment and engagement with the dogs daily
* Caring for cats and maintaining enclosures and cattery hygiene.
Cleaning & Hygiene
* Thorough cleaning and disinfecting of kennels, cages and shared areas
* Laundry management
* Maintaining high hygiene and biosecurity standards
Bookings & Client Communication
* Responding to enquiries via email, phone and social media
* Managing bookings and updates in the system
* Sending confirmations and client updates
* Clear, professional communication with clients
Facility Operations & Leadership
* Opening and running morning shifts independently or with a small team
* Supporting and participate in afternoon shifts of returning dogs to clients feeding playing and settling
* Maintaining standards when the owner is not on site
* Taking responsibility for the flow and organisation of the day
* Being a calm point of reference for other staff
About you:
* Mature, steady and reliable
* Qualified or attending Vet /zoo studies or Advanced animal studies in a related field
* Experienced taking responsibility and leading when required after initial training.
* Lives locally and has own car and licence due to short shifts and economic reasoning .
* Confident with animals and physical work inside and outdoors
* Naturally tidy and organised with strong cleaning standards
* Organised and capable with basic admin, booking systems email communications direct phone contact and payments
* Happy working independently and as part of a small team
* Looking for a stable, long-term role
This role suits someone who enjoys responsibility, structure, and being trusted to help run a professional, calm environment knowing at times the owner steps and reside onsite.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00 – $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 21 – 38 per week
