About the Role:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination and day-to-day management of courier, logistics, and associated administrative operations within the Distribution Centre. (Mile End) The role ensures the timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with internal stakeholders, Distribution Centre teams, stores, and external courier partners to support seamless logistics operations and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Courier Operations Management: Process and coordinate all courier requests, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of packages with appropriate cost control monitoring.
* Team Coordination and Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise closely with Distribution Centre logistics staff & Retail teams and internal departments to ensure clear communication regarding delivery schedules, inventory movement, and parcel status
* Communication and Customer Service: Communicate effectively with internal and external customers regarding shipping status, delivery updates, and logistical solutions
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of courier activities, including deliveries, collections, and logistics costs as well as provide accurate delivery repots to the wider business
* Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company requirements in courier and logistics operations
About You:
* Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
* Experience: Proven experience in logistics, courier services, warehousing, or a similar role (preferred)
* Proficiency: Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (desirable) and a sound understanding of logistics operations and supply chain processes
* OH&S advocate: Demonstrated experience in Occupational Health and Safety (essential)
* Attention to Detail: You must possess a high level of accuracy and an eye for detail when reviewing data and generating reports.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively, providing solutions and ensuring minimal disruption to timelines.
* Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines, especially during peak periods.
* Personal Attributes: High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Reliable, adaptable, and results-driven. Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
