Vehicle Mechanic Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our Defence Maintenance Contract team based in the Enoggera Region.
The role involves conducting maintenance tasks, including technical inspections and classifications. The incumbent will be responsible for repairing or replacing worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
Additionally, the Vehicle Mechanic will reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts. Minor body repairs and minor trim repairs will also be carried out. Electrical systems, including lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection, will be tested and repaired.
The successful candidate will be required to inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
* Current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
* Australian Citizenship
* Ability to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
