**Position overview**
The ANU School of Art & Design (SOA&D) and the ANU School of Music (SOM) seeks a committed individual as the WHS Manager to support the ongoing implementation of the University's WHS framework at a local level. The ANU School of Art & Design and the ANU School of Music, in the Research School of Humanities and the Arts, has a highly committed and active WHS culture in maintaining the workplace safety of its visual art and design studios and workshop environments, and recording and performance studios, in collaboration with its staff, students and other stakeholders. With discipline areas undertaking both high and low risk WHS practices, these Schools are committed to delivering world class teaching, learning and research activities within a safe workplace environment. The WHS Manager is part of a wider University WHS community and is in regular contact with WHS professionals from many areas of the ANU. An interest/knowledge of contemporary art and design practice and/or music performance and technology is desirable but not essential.
The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice. Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their research, and 57 are members of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia, or both.
