We're seeking an experienced, hands‑on Functions & Events Manager to lead precinct‑wide bookings, private functions, weddings and community activations - including East Vic Park's newest weekly farmers market. This is your chance to shape Baillie Hill's events offering from the ground up.
Start date: Late December 2025 - Early January 2026
About the Role
You'll manage the full event cycle - from enquiry and quoting through to on‑site delivery and post‑event follow‑up - ensuring every function runs smoothly. Events will range from private celebrations and corporate gatherings to community markets and precinct activations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage client enquiries, bookings, and event logistics
* Prepare quotes, proposals, and booking confirmations
* Coordinate with FOH and kitchen teams for seamless operations
* Develop run sheets and oversee on‑site event delivery
* Assist with precinct events and the weekly farmers market
* Manage event budgets and resources efficiently
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years' experience in event or functions management (hospitality preferred)
* Knowledge of Function Tracker, Now Book It or similar systems
* Excellent communication, admin, and client‑service skills
* Calm, professional approach under pressure
* Self‑motivated, solutions‑focused, and detail‑oriented
